Understanding Partial Dentures, Classification, Design and Materials

Course Description:

This course will take a deep dive into the Kennedy/Applegate system for classifying

partial denture cases, the fundamental components of partial dentures, design strategies for various oral situations and the materials that are available for partial dentures today.

Learning Objectives:

1. Review of the Kennedy/Applegate classification system for partially dentate patients.

2. Goals for partial dentures, and strategies to achieve them for various Kennedy classifications.

3. Understanding and using each component of a partial denture.

4. Indications and contraindications of current partial materials.
